How does it work?

How do the artist illustrate guests?

Theres 2 ways to illustrate guests:

1.- Live in person sketching
Guests stand in front of the artist and stay for about 6–7 minutes while their illustration is created live. They can watch the sketch come to life in real time.

We recommend this approach because it’s more entertaining, interactive, and efficient. With live sketching, we’re usually able to illustrate more guests and keep the line moving smoothly throughout the event without problems.

2.- Photo-based sketching
We take photos of guests, label them with their names, and illustrate them afterward. Guests return later to pick up their finished sketch.

We recommend this option mainly during dinner time. Typically, we take photos of guests before they sit down to eat, then work on the illustrations while dinner is happening. This method takes a bit longer and is less interactive than live sketching.
Both are valid methods, but they create very different experiences.

How many people can you sketch in a hour of services?

At Burgos Illustrations we prioritize quality over quantity. It all depends on how complex are the outfits and what color are they wearing, usually darker colors take longer to render than light colors. But, approximately in an hour of service we can illustrate from 8 to 10 people (full color) and 10 to 12 (half color).

What materials do you use to sketch?

Our main form of illustration is marker base coloring. We use professional brands like Copic and Prismacolor and suited marker paper to prevent the bleeding of colors.

After the illustration is completed, it is carefully enclosed in a plastic sleeve and a strong backing to ensure the illustration will get home safely.

Do you bring your own table?

Yes! This 2026 is the first year where we bring our own illustration booth. Measurements: 21W x 48L.
°if space is limited we can also work with host´s set up.
